Police investigate fatal accident and suspected murder in Poland

Two separate fatal incidents have been reported in Poland. In Lubówiec, within the Skępe commune, a 66-year-old man named Zbigniew K. was killed after being struck by a vehicle driven by his brother, Robert K. The incident occurred on a field road where low speeds are typical due to ruts and tall grass. While tests confirmed the driver was sober, investigators are awaiting toxicological results to determine how the collision occurred. Robert K. remains at liberty facing potential charges for causing death by negligence.

In a separate case near Kędzierzyn-Koźle, authorities have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 49-year-old woman was discovered in a forest by a passerby. Prosecutors from the Opole District Prosecutor's Office noted that the victim had sustained multiple injuries, including blunt force trauma to the head likely caused by a hard, edged object. The woman lived near the site where she was found, and a dog was present at the scene. The motive and whether the victim was targeted remain unknown.
