Police investigate fatal stabbing in Bolivia and attempted murder in Mexico

In Cochabamba, Bolivia, a 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed following a heated argument near his home on September 24. Preliminary reports from the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC) indicate that the assailant, identified as the husband of the victim's niece, allegedly used a knife to inflict the fatal wounds. The suspect was reportedly apprehended at the scene and remains in police custody pending further investigation.

In Delicias, Mexico, prosecutors have filed charges against Edgar C. A. for attempted qualified homicide following an attack on two municipal police officers on September 21. The indictment alleges that the suspect disarmed an officer and fired a shot that injured the officer's shoulder before pointing the weapon at a female officer's face. A judge has ordered preventive detention and requested psychiatric evaluations to determine the suspect's mental state. A follow-up hearing is scheduled for September 30.
