Police investigate multi-national altercation in Weiden

A physical altercation involving individuals of multiple nationalities occurred in the Kurt-Schumacher-Allee area of Weiden during the night of Friday to Saturday. The incident began as a verbal dispute between a 22-year-old Syrian resident and a 36-year-old German man, which escalated into a fight involving a 38-year-old German and a 26-year-old Bulgarian.

All four participants sustained minor injuries, with one individual requiring hospital treatment. Following the brawl, police responded to the scene, where a Bulgarian citizen reportedly acted aggressively toward officers, issuing threats and refusing to comply with orders. The individual was subsequently restrained and taken into custody. Authorities are investigating the incident for assault, insult, and threats.
