Police investigate multiple crimes in Malang, Bandung, and Cicalengka

Several criminal incidents have been reported across West Java and East Java. In Malang, police arrested a 26-year-old man, identified as SK, for the fatal stabbing of a fellow student, AVG. The victim, a final-year student at a health sciences college, died from a chest wound following an argument in their dormitory. Investigators believe the motive was related to a personal dispute involving a female acquaintance.

In Cicalengka, Bandung Regency, authorities have named three suspects—RF, YP, and IA—for the assault of a local police chief (Kapolsek) and a military district commander (Danramil). The attack occurred on August 17 while the officials were attempting to mediate a dispute during an Independence Day carnival. A civilian was also injured during the altercation.

Additionally, in Bandung, police are investigating a theft at the Hotel WYNS on Jalan Soekarno. CCTV footage captured a guest, wearing a mask and hat, removing two television units from a hotel room. The suspect reportedly checked into different rooms on consecutive days to facilitate the theft.
