Police investigate multiple murders in South Africa and Zimbabwe

Authorities in South Africa and Zimbabwe are investigating separate violent incidents involving the deaths of women.

In South Africa, 56-year-old Nomakhwezi Zitha was killed following an alleged kidnapping in Samora Machel. Zitha, who had been in contact with an individual posing as a housing agent, was found tied up and severely tortured. Police report that she suffered multiple head injuries and died in the hospital. A suspect has been arrested and faces charges of murder, kidnapping, and rape.

In Zimbabwe, police are investigating two domestic murder cases. In Hatfield, 30-year-old Stephen Sarurai was arrested for allegedly strangling his wife, 26-year-old Zvikomborero Tari, with a shoelace during a dispute over alleged infidelity. Additionally, in Shamva, a 32-year-old woman named Everjoy Amos, who was four months pregnant, was found dead with severe head injuries. Her husband, Leonard Padzikamambo Mubaira, is the primary suspect in that case.
