Police investigate separate animal cruelty incidents in Germany
Authorities in Germany are investigating two distinct incidents involving animals. In Wolfach-Kirnbach, police are investigating a violation of the Animal Welfare Act after a black male cat was found hanging from a structure on a forest path. An autopsy will be conducted by the Animal Hygiene Institute to determine the cause of death and whether the animal was alive when it was placed there.
In a separate case near Bischofsgrün, the Bayreuth animal shelter is seeking witnesses after two black cats, approximately one year old, were found at a forest edge. A Lux-Tools brand tool bag was discovered near the animals, which investigators believe may have been used to transport them. The shelter intends to file a report regarding the suspected abandonment of the pets.
