Police investigate separate attacks in India

Authorities in India are investigating two distinct violent incidents. In Khunti, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has questioned over 50 suspects regarding the October 20 attack on Father Benedict of the RC Church. Three police teams are currently analyzing CCTV footage, technical evidence, and local intelligence to identify the perpetrators. Father Benedict remains in critical condition in a Ranchi hospital with severe head injuries.

In a separate case, the Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating an attack on actor Tiger Shroff. Investigators believe the attackers were being alerted to police activity by a handler via internet-based voice calls that are difficult to track. Following news broadcasts showing the attackers' faces, a handler reportedly messaged an accused individual to flee. Police have arrested 10 people in connection with this investigation, which reportedly stems from a dispute regarding comments made about actor Salman Khan.
