Police investigate separate deaths in Paraguay and Mexico

Authorities in Paraguay and Mexico are investigating two separate incidents involving deceased individuals found under suspicious circumstances.

In San Juan Nepomuceno, Paraguay, 92-year-old Martín Ocampo Silvero was found dead in a residence in the Hugua’i district. Preliminary police reports indicate the victim's hands and feet were tied and he had sustained head injuries. A forensic doctor suggested a severe skull trauma as the possible cause of death. The Public Ministry and criminalistics units are investigating the case as a suspected homicide.

In Gómez Palacio, Mexico, the body of 52-year-old José Manuel was discovered in a hotel room at the Hotel Plaza Catedral. The victim, who had an active arrest warrant for aggravated sexual abuse, was found with his hands tied with a cable and a plastic bag covering his head.
