Multiple fatal drownings and violent assaults reported in Germany and Austria
Several serious incidents involving drownings and violent assaults have been reported in Germany and Austria.
At Heimstettener See near Munich, two girls, aged 8 and 15, are in critical condition after a swimming accident. They were rescued from underwater by bystanders and emergency services, including the DLRG and Wasserwacht, and required resuscitation before being airlifted to hospitals. Meanwhile, at Königssee, a 26-year-old man died despite resuscitation efforts by firefighters and emergency personnel.
In Austria, a 20-year-old man was attacked and injured by multiple unidentified men in front of a local in Gmunden. Police are seeking witnesses to the incident. Additionally, in Vienna, two separate knife attacks occurred: a 55-year-old man was found injured on a sidewalk in Donaustadt, and a 43-year-old man was stabbed during a dispute in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, leading to the temporary arrest of a 30-year-old suspect.
