Police investigate separate firearm incidents in El Paso and San Antonio

Authorities in El Paso and San Antonio are investigating separate violent incidents involving firearms.

In El Paso, 24-year-old Joseph Alexander Aguilar was arrested following a dispute at Coconuts Bar & Grill. After an argument regarding an unpaid bill, Aguilar allegedly returned to the scene in a vehicle, pointed a weapon at two individuals, and fired several shots into the air. No injuries were reported. Aguilar faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm; he is currently held in the El Paso County Detention Center with a $103,000 bond.

In San Antonio, investigators are searching for a suspect following a fatal shotgun shooting in the Marta Brunet sector. Chief Prosecutor Osvaldo Ossandón reported that a dispute between neighbors escalated on the night of September 13, resulting in a victim being shot at close range. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large as authorities continue their investigation.
