Police investigate separate hit-and-run accidents in Germany and Switzerland

Police in Germany and Switzerland are investigating two separate hit-and-run incidents involving total vehicle losses.

In Germany, a silver VW Polo crashed while attempting to turn onto a state road near Luttmersen. The driver lost control, struck a ditch reinforcement, and ended up on an agricultural path. While one passenger was injured and transported to a hospital for treatment, the other two occupants, identified as Ukrainian nationals aged 17, 23, and 39, fled the scene. Police later apprehended the two men on their way to Luttmersen. Authorities are seeking information to determine who was driving at the time of the accident.

In Subingen, Switzerland, a vehicle collided with a concrete base near a roundabout on Luzernstrasse during the early hours of Sunday. The car came to a stop on a green space, resulting in significant property damage and a total loss of the vehicle. The driver fled the scene immediately following the crash. The Solothurn Cantonal Police and the public prosecutor's office have launched an investigation and are calling for witnesses to come forward.
