Police investigate separate murder cases in Uganda and Zambia

Police in Masindi District, Uganda, have arrested 45-year-old Bogere Kasanda for the alleged murder of his partner, 40-year-old Angela Atuhura. The incident occurred on September 6, 2026, in Kyanga Village, Bwijanga Sub-county. Authorities report that the couple had a history of domestic disputes that were previously addressed by local leaders. Kasanda, a casual laborer, reportedly attempted to leave the area after the incident, raising suspicion when he told a resident that his wife had died.

In Zambia, police are conducting a manhunt for Andrew Sinyenga following the death of 43-year-old Nsoche Zulu in Kalumbila. The victim was discovered by a workmate on September 7, 2026, after failing to report for work. Preliminary investigations indicate the victim suffered facial injuries, deep cuts, and burn marks. Sinyenga, believed to be from Lusaka, was last seen with the deceased on September 6. The Zambia Police Service has appealed to the public for information regarding his whereabouts.
