Police investigate separate sexual assault cases in Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh

Authorities in Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh are investigating two distinct incidents of sexual assault reported recently.

In Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, a female sales professional filed a complaint alleging she was drugged and raped at a private resort during a corporate anniversary event. The victim claims a colleague, identified as Shubham Bhatla from Pune, forced her to consume alcohol before the assault, while a second individual, Saurabh, allegedly attempted to rape her. Police have registered a case against both suspects, who are reportedly associated with the same company.

In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, police arrested two men, Rakesh and Dilip, following allegations that they lured a woman under the pretense of paying her labor wages. The victim reported being taken to a residence in Ratnakhedi, where she was assaulted and beaten. Additionally, a separate report from Ujjain involves a woman who alleges she was raped in a car by a man she met through Instagram and his accomplice after traveling to the city to meet him.
