Police investigate serious traffic incidents in Australia and Scotland

A 73-year-old man is in serious but stable condition following an alleged hit-and-run in Bega, New South Wales. The incident occurred on the Princes Highway near Newtown Road. Police report that the man was driving a blue-green Holden Cruze when an altercation allegedly occurred with a female driver of another vehicle. The man reportedly exited his car and walked toward the other vehicle, at which point it allegedly reversed into him before fleeing the scene. A female passenger in the sedan was uninjured, and the Crash Investigation Unit is investigating.

In Scotland, two men are in critical condition following a serious collision in Angus. The crash involved a Volkswagen Polo and an Audi A6 on the A935 Montrose to Brechin road near Bridge of Dun. The 19-year-old driver of the Polo and the 56-year-old driver of the Audi are both fighting for their lives. A 20-year-old passenger in the Polo is in stable condition, and a 14-year-old girl in the Audi was taken to the hospital for assessment. Police Scotland is seeking witnesses and dashcam footage to assist with inquiries.
