Police investigate stone strike on Køge Bugt Motorvej
A car was struck by a stone while driving under a pedestrian bridge on the Køge Bugt Motorvej. The driver, a 42-year-old woman from Greve, was uninjured but reported being shocked by the incident. She described the stone, which hit the windshield, as being roughly the size of a tennis ball.
Midt- og Vestsjællands Politi is investigating the matter and seeking witnesses who may have seen anyone on the pedestrian bridge around 14:15. While the police are currently treating the incident as a potential stone-throwing event, Vice Police Inspector Søren Danielsen noted that the extent of the damage suggests it might be a stone strike rather than a deliberate throw, as the windshield was not shattered or penetrated.
This incident follows a series of similar occurrences in the region, including two other reported stone-related incidents on the Amagermotorvejen near the Avedøre Holme exit in late August and last Wednesday.
