Police investigate suspicious death in Lucknow and missing person report in Satna

Two separate criminal and missing person cases have been reported in India. In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, police have registered a murder case against Himanshu Srivastava following the suspicious death of his wife, Rashmi. The 40-year-old woman was found dead on the floor of their residence with blood marks near her head. Srivastava, who serves as a head constable in the Information Rights Cell of the Lucknow Commissionerate, was present at the scene but provided no clear information during questioning. Forensic teams have collected evidence, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

In Satna, Madhya Pradesh, a woman named Asvinder Kaur traveled from Dubai to report her husband, Sunil Thakur, missing. Kaur alleges that after living with Thakur in Dubai following their marriage in February 2025, he traveled to Satna with his mother and is currently being hidden by his family members. She claims she has been unable to contact him despite repeated attempts. Local police have initiated an investigation to locate Thakur.
