Police investigate suspicious vehicle targeting children near Toruń

Police in the Toruń region have launched an investigation following reports of suspicious behavior involving children in the village of Kopanino. Four children, aged between 6 and 10, were gathering mushrooms in a forest when two men in a vehicle approached them.

According to family members, the men offered the children sweets and ice cream and attempted to pressure the youngest boy into a ride, even opening the car door. The children managed to flee to a nearby home. While local surveillance footage identified a suspicious vehicle, the license plate remains unknown. The Toruń Municipal Police have increased patrols in the area, though they noted that there is currently no evidence that the children were in immediate physical danger.
