Police investigate two separate cases involving missing women in India
Police in India are investigating two separate incidents involving the discovery of women's bodies.
In Agra, the body of 26-year-old Vishakha was recovered from the Yamuna River in Etawah after being missing for eight days. Authorities arrested Shivjeet Bhadauria, a revenue clerk, in connection with her death. Bhadauria, who had reportedly promised to marry the deceased, allegedly transported her body by car and disposed of it in the river following a dispute. While the accused claimed the death was a suicide, police have booked him for kidnapping, abetment to suicide, and destruction of evidence.
In Hyderabad, the body of a woman identified as Mangamma was discovered in a desolate area in Nagole after she had been missing for nine days. The body was found without limbs, leading investigators to consider whether the remains were scavenged by animals or if the dismemberment was part of a criminal act. Forensic analysis and a post-mortem examination are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
