Police investigate two separate deaths in Resistencia and Oruro

Authorities in Resistencia, Argentina, are investigating the death of 38-year-old Leonela Victoria Maidana, who reportedly died from an apparent electric shock in her home on Thursday morning. Her partner discovered her unconscious and reported feeling an electric discharge when attempting to lift her. Medical personnel diagnosed post-traumatic cardiorespiratory arrest. The prosecutor, Lilian Irala, has ordered a forensic examination at the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Sciences, and the utility company Secheep has been requested to inspect the property's electrical conditions.

In Oruro, Bolivia, prosecutors are investigating the death of a 58-year-old woman found in her residence. Preliminary findings by forensic experts suggest the cause of death may be bronchoaspiration, with no visible signs of violence at the scene. A person who had been consuming alcoholic beverages with the victim alerted emergency services. The body has been moved to the General Cemetery morgue for a medical-legal autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death.
