Police investigate two separate fatal abuse and murder cases in the US and Serbia

Authorities in Cincinnati, Ohio, have charged a mother and two partners in the death of 7-year-old William Evans-Ellis. The child's body was discovered taped inside a closet in a family home. Investigators report the boy suffered blunt force trauma to the head, signs of drowning, and extensive bruising. The suspects, including Kaitlin Evans, Nathan Rankin, and Adam Judaydon Cao, are being held on $1.1 million bail following allegations of torture and abuse.

In a separate criminal investigation in Serbia, a father and his two sons remain in custody following the discovery of Aleksandar Lazić's body buried in a yard in Ruma. Police suspect Lazić was physically abused in a rented apartment in April before being killed. The victim's remains were found in a state of decomposition in July. The investigation is ongoing to determine the specific roles of the three family members involved.
