Police investigate violent crimes in Uganda and India
Police in Uganda are searching for six suspects following an armed robbery and rape in Obongi. Preliminary investigations suggest the attackers may have operated in three teams using submachine guns, knives, and other weapons. The group is also linked to several robberies in the Morobi area. Investigators are currently tracking a mobile money transfer of Shs700,000 to identify the suspects.
In India, a young man was seriously injured in an attack in Akbargarh village, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The victim was reportedly attacked with a blade while working in a field following an argument. Police have arrested two individuals and are searching for other suspects involved in the assault. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
