Police issue warnings and make arrests following residential burglaries

Police in Steinsel, Luxembourg, have issued a warning following a recent increase in burglaries, primarily occurring during evening hours. Authorities believe multiple perpetrators are involved and expect continued activity. Residents are advised to secure all doors, windows, garages, and cellars, activate alarm systems, and keep lights on during the evening to deter intruders.

In France, the Yvelines national police reported several residential burglaries between August 20 and 21, 2026. In La Celle-Saint-Cloud, two suspects aged 16 and 24 were apprehended in Nanterre after an alarm triggered during a daytime robbery. In Les Clayes-sous-Bois, two men aged 25 and 36 were caught in the act by police while inside a home during the early morning hours.
