Police launch cross-border manhunt after car pursuit in Donegal

A cross-border manhunt is currently underway following a vehicle pursuit involving a stolen white Seat Leon. The car was reported stolen from Derry city centre on Sunday afternoon.

After being sighted by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) on the Skeoge Link Road, the driver ignored sirens and blue lights, heading toward the border. An Garda Síochána intercepted the vehicle in Donegal, where a stinger device was deployed at Bridgend. However, the occupants of the car fled the scene on foot.

Police from both jurisdictions are conducting ongoing enquiries. PSNI Chief Inspector Ian Ferriby described the incident as “a good example of cross-border work with our colleagues in An Garda Síochána” and has appealed to the public for dashcam footage to assist with the investigation.
