Police launch security operation in Chongón, Ecuador

The National Police conducted the ‘Fortalecimiento’ operation in the Chongón area of Guayaquil, Ecuador, to enhance security and community engagement. The initiative included vehicle inspections and socialization activities for various age groups.

Authorities have received confidential reports regarding the potential presence of criminal groups known as ‘Los Tiguerones’ and ‘Los Fatales’ in the district. To combat micro-trafficking and suspicious activities, police are promoting the use of the 1800DELITO telephone line and QR codes to allow citizens to submit anonymous reports.
