Kuala Lumpur police locate driver after fatal six-vehicle crash
Police have located the driver of a BYD Seal involved in a six-vehicle collision on Jalan Kuching in Kuala Lumpur that resulted in the death of a five-year-old girl. The accident occurred on a Saturday afternoon during slow-moving traffic.
According to Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, the BYD Seal struck a motorcycle and a Perodua Bezza from behind. The impact caused the Bezza to spin into three other vehicles: a Nissan Almera, a Toyota Alphard, and a Perodua Myvi. The young girl, who was in the rear passenger seat of the Bezza, died from severe head injuries at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
The 24-year-old driver of the BYD, who initially fled the scene, was located at a private hospital in Damansara being treated for a concussion. The driver of the Bezza and a motorcyclist also sustained injuries and are receiving treatment. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
