Police misconduct allegations reported in Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh

In Hyderabad, a 36-year-old RMP doctor has been detained by Cyberabad police following allegations of assaulting a constable in Nanakramguda. The incident reportedly occurred when the officer attempted to speak with the doctor at a corporate hospital. According to police reports, the doctor became aggressive, allegedly punched the constable in the face, and smashed the officer’s mobile phone on the ground. The constable managed to overpower and detain the doctor.

Separately, in Andhra Pradesh, a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) worker named S Suresh has accused Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramanji Nayak of using casteist slurs and expletives. In a video appeal to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Suresh alleged that the DSP threatened his life and insulted his mother during a WhatsApp interaction. Suresh also claimed that Circle Inspector Suresh Reddy issued threats, and he has requested government intervention to prevent potential false legal cases.
