Police officer arrested after fatal motorcycle accident in Hadžići

Viktor Ćatić, a police officer and president of the Union of Police Officers, State Employees, and Workers of Sarajevo Canton, has been arrested following a fatal traffic accident in Hadžići.

The incident occurred in the Binježevo neighborhood on Boka Street when Ćatić, operating a motorcycle, struck four pedestrians. One woman, identified by the initials A. D. (1974), died at the scene. Three other pedestrians—N. D. (1976), S. M. (1974), and S. M. (1994)—were injured and transported to the University Clinical Center Sarajevo. While two sustained serious injuries, all victims were later released for home treatment.

Ćatić was not on duty at the time of the accident. Following an investigation by the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor's Office, he was detained on suspicion of committing serious criminal offenses against public traffic safety.
