Police officer dies in motorcycle accident in Klang

A 41-year-old police officer died following a motorcycle accident on Jalan Kebun in Klang last Wednesday. The victim, Corporal Izwan Napiah, was a member of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters.

According to Klang South District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Lim Jit Huey, the accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. while the officer was riding from Jalan Kebun toward Rimbayu. The motorcycle reportedly grazed a lorry tire, causing the officer to lose control and fall onto the roadway.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar expressed condolences, noting that the deceased had served in the Royal Malaysia Police for 22 years. The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
