Police Officer Milan Makovička Rescues Man in Trutnov
On Saturday, July 4, police officers responded to a call about a man who had collapsed and stopped breathing in a venue in Trutnov. Police lieutenant Milan Makovička performed indirect chest compressions, restoring the man's circulation and breathing. The victim, born in 1995, was then transferred by air ambulance to the Faculty Hospital in Hradec Králové for further care.
This was the second life‑saving intervention by Makovička this year; he previously assisted in a similar rescue in March. Police officials highlighted the importance of regular first‑aid training for officers, who are often the first responders at emergencies.
