Eindhoven: Five arrested after violent attack on two teenagers

Five men have been arrested following a violent incident in Eindhoven where two teenagers were attacked. The victims, aged 14 and 18, were inside a car that was forced off the road and struck a lamppost on the Remichweg.

Following the collision, a group of attackers reportedly exited multiple vehicles and assaulted the teenagers with knives. One victim was reported to have bled so heavily that police had to apply a tourniquet. A 14-year-old passenger also reported being threatened with a firearm. Both victims were hospitalized and are reported to be out of life-threatening danger.

Police tracked the suspects using a known license plate from one of the getaway vehicles. Five men, aged between 21 and 31 and hailing from Zoetermeer, Delft, Goes, and Alkmaar, were apprehended on the A58 near Gilze-Rijen and the A16 near Zevenbergschen Hoek. Authorities are currently investigating the motive and whether shots were fired during the encounter.
