Police Day ceremonies held in towns across Poland

Across Poland, local police units marked Police Day with official ceremonies, awards, promotions and community events. In Solca Kujawskie two district officers received honors and a new commander was introduced. Five officers in Wejherowo were awarded by the county starosta for outstanding service. Olsztyn hosted its fourth oath‑taking ceremony of new recruits, presenting medals and advancement orders. Leszno’s police chief oversaw a commemorative gathering for the 107th anniversary of the force, featuring wreath‑laying and honors. Warsaw held a high‑profile meeting of winners of the "Policjant, który mi pomógł" competition, attended by the state secretary and senior police officials. The Racibórz county police reported 28 189 violations by the prevention unit and over 9 600 traffic offenses, highlighting persistent shop‑lifting cases. Zamość’s ceremony included the presentation of decorations and rank upgrades to dozens of officers. Gliwice organized a regional celebration with an official appeal, medal presentations, oath‑taking for new recruits and a family picnic in a city park. Wałcz, Suchej Beskidzkiej, Podkarpacie, and other localities also staged formal appeals, handed out medals and ranks, and held public gatherings that emphasized the police’s role in community safety.
