Police in Skien and the Borgestad area responded to several incidents on Wednesday, including a health‑related emergency, a driver without a licence, a man expelled from a construction site, and a bomb‑squad operation that retrieved an object from a residence. The police also issued fines for mobile‑phone use while driving.

A forest fire north of Neslandsvatn in Drangedal forced the closure of the Sørlandsbanen railway between Drangedal and Neslandsvatn. The line was reopened later in the day, but trains continue to run with expected delays.
