Italy law enforcement conducts widespread operations across multiple regions

Law enforcement agencies across Italy have conducted a series of significant operations targeting various criminal activities, including drug trafficking, theft, and public safety violations.

In Rome, police arrested a 25-year-old man in Tor Sapienza who had organized a sophisticated “drug archive” in his bedroom, using drawers and cupboards to categorize 6 kg of cocaine, hashish, and ketamine. In Bolzano, a minor was arrested after police discovered a semi-automatic pistol with an erased serial number, ammunition, and 40 grams of cocaine in his bedroom.

In Palermo, a large-scale operation in the Borgo Nuovo district led to over 90 denunciations, including 21 cases of illegal electricity connections and 71 cases of illegal occupation of property. In Taranto, authorities closed two food establishments and seized 280 kg of food due to severe hygiene violations.

Other notable actions include the seizure of over 30,000 unsafe Halloween products in Catanzaro, the rescue of a six-month-old foal from an illegal stable in Catania, and the arrest of a man in Rieti for driving under the influence of narcotics. In Termini Imerese, police recovered religious artifacts stolen from a church and arrested a suspect.
