Police Presence and Safety Concerns in Chiclayo, Peru and Valencia, Spain

In the Las Brisas neighborhood of Chiclayo, Peru, four medical interns were robbed by assailants on a motorbike near the newly built police station. Residents say the modern facility has not translated into regular patrols, leaving the area feeling unprotected despite its proximity to the health center.

In Valencia, Spain, a police operation in the Velluters district dismantled three drug‑laden apartments, seized cocaine, marijuana and other substances, and arrested nine people aged 20 to 86. Neighbours praised the police action but urged the municipal government to provide more coordinated support and preventive measures.
