Police Pursuit on La Pera‑Cuautla Highway After Bank Robbery in Morelos, Mexico

Following a violent robbery at a bank branch, public security forces launched a large‑scale pursuit along the La Pera‑Cuautla highway in the state of Morelos. Police units from several corps converged at kilometre 11 near the municipality of Tepoztlán, creating a human‑cage to block the armed suspects who were trying to flee toward the metropolitan area. The operation, supported by aerial units and ground patrols, forced the fugitives to slow down, allowing officers to capture one alleged robber while the rest of the gang remains at large and is being actively searched for.

The intense deployment caused panic among motorists traveling the key regional route, and authorities continue to sweep nearby communities to locate the remaining suspects.
