Police pursuits in Australia and UK lead to arrests and seizures

Two separate police pursuits in Australia and the United Kingdom resulted in arrests and the seizure of illegal items.

In New South Wales, Australia, a 22-year-old man was arrested following a pursuit near Moree. Police attempted to stop a Toyota utility vehicle on Carrigan Road that had allegedly been stolen from Queensland. The pursuit spanned several roads and farmland before the vehicle was located in bushland. Officers recovered five rounds of ammunition and charged the man with various offenses, including possessing ammunition without a license and receiving stolen property valued at over $15,000. The suspect was refused bail.

In the United Kingdom, a 20-year-old man was arrested after a pursuit on the M5 motorway. Gloucestershire Constabulary reported that the driver of a van failed to stop, leading to a chase that ended in the Quedgeley area. During the pursuit, suspected drugs were thrown from the vehicle window. A subsequent search of the van and the surrounding area uncovered a large quantity of suspected drugs and banknotes. The suspect faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and dangerous driving.
