Police raid prison and homes in Pico Truncado over extortion

Police conducted simultaneous raids in Pico Truncado and Caleta Olivia, targeting two private residences and Penitentiary Module No. 2 in Pico Truncado. The operations were ordered by a court in Las Heras as part of an investigation into extortion reported in Los Antiguos.

Investigations by the DDI of Pico Truncado revealed that individuals within the prison unit were requesting money transfers to various virtual wallet aliases in exchange for not releasing sensitive personal information.

Authorities seized mobile phones, SIM cards, a motorcycle, and relevant documentation. Four adults were identified during the operation, three of whom have been detained.
