Police officers from the Crotone Questura conducted a raid at the San Giovanni in Fiore municipal offices following instructions from the Catanzaro District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA). Investigators are examining administrative management from the last six years, focusing on public works, tenders, expenses, and public competitions.

The investigation follows various complaints and reports filed in recent years regarding municipal activities. Officials have been requested to provide detailed reports on payments, projects, and certifications. Mayor Antonio Barile expressed support for the investigation, stating, “I am happy about the visit of the men of the Crotone Questura... it means they are trying to get to the truth.”
