Police recover 1.2 million TL in stolen gold after Ordu burglary
Police have recovered stolen jewelry worth approximately 1.2 million TL following a residential burglary in the Fatsa district of Ordu. The theft occurred on August 15, 2026, when suspects entered a home in the Sakarya neighborhood and stole various items, including a 100-gram gold bar, several bracelets, gold coins, and necklaces.
Following a detailed investigation involving security camera footage and vehicle tracking, authorities identified a white sedan used by the suspects. The vehicle was tracked through several districts before being intercepted at a police checkpoint in the Hekimhan district of Malatya.
During the search of the vehicle, all the stolen jewelry from the Fatsa residence was recovered. Four suspects were taken into custody and subsequently arrested by the court after being transferred back to Fatsa for legal proceedings.
