Police recover German Shepherd in Cruzeiro do Sul

The Civil Police of Acre, through the Specialized Nucleus for the Investigation of Property Crimes (NEPATRI), recovered a German Shepherd valued at approximately R$ 2,000 in Cruzeiro do Sul.

The investigation began after the animal was reported missing on August 18, 2026, under the suspicion of theft. However, police inquiries revealed that the dog had actually escaped from its owner's residence. A third party subsequently found the animal and improperly appropriated it for sale, an act that potentially constitutes the crime of embezzlement.

Following the investigation, officers identified the location of the dog and successfully recovered it on the morning of August 23, 2026. The animal will be returned to its legitimate owner once all necessary legal procedures are completed.
