Brazil reports various thefts and robberies across multiple regions

Various criminal incidents involving theft and robbery have been reported across several Brazilian regions.

In Santos, a cleaning professional was caught attempting to steal over R$ 200,000 in jewelry from the apartment of a U.S. consular employee. In Brasília, an electrician was detained after a Rolex watch valued at R$ 50,000 was found hidden inside a lunch box in his backpack.

Other reported crimes include a municipal employee arrested for theft and drug possession in Palmital, a man caught stealing electrical wiring from a truck in Limeira, and an ex-employee detained for attempting to steal copper wire in Barra Mansa.

Violent encounters were also noted: an 80-year-old man in Cascavel was stabbed while attempting to prevent his car from being stolen, and a couple in Campo Grande was arrested following a stabbing incident and a series of thefts involving wires and water meters. In Curitiba, a man armed with a knife robbed a market cashier in the Santa Felicidade neighborhood.
