Vehicle thefts and extortion reported in Argentina, Mexico, and Ecuador

Various criminal incidents involving vehicle theft and extortion have been reported across Argentina, Mexico, and Ecuador.

In Argentina, a resident of Comodoro Rivadavia reported that thieves broke into his car, stealing his wallet, bank cards, and identification, subsequently using the cards to make purchases. In another case, police recovered a stolen Kawasaki motorcycle after the owner received extortion messages via WhatsApp demanding money for its return. Additionally, a 21-year-old was detained in Goya, Corrientes, after being found with a bicycle of unverified origin, and a stolen Zanella motorcycle was recovered in General Villegas after being found disassembled.

In Mexico, a 31-year-old man was arrested in Aguascalientes while driving a stolen Nissan Tsuru. In Ecuador, police in Riobamba seized two motorcycles that showed signs of tampering with engine and chassis identification numbers during routine prevention operations.
