Police report separate domestic violence incidents in Nigeria

Police in Nigeria have reported two distinct incidents of domestic violence involving wives attacking their husbands.

In Bauchi State, 18-year-old Fatima Dalha allegedly stabbed her 30-year-old husband in the stomach during a dispute over money, a phone, and wrappers in the Lirr Bajar area of Dass Local Government. Police officers intervened to prevent a mob from lynching the suspect. The husband was hospitalized for treatment, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation.

In Niger State, 28-year-old Safiya Tukur was arrested for causing grievous hurt to her husband in Minna. Following a physical confrontation in the Kpakungu area, the suspect allegedly used a sharp object to inflict a deep cut on her husband's manhood. The victim received medical attention at General Hospital Minna, and the suspect has been charged to court and remanded in custody.
