Police report traffic violations and incidents in Wittlich and Aurich

Police in various German regions, including Wittlich, Aurich, and Wittmund, have reported several incidents involving traffic violations and property damage.

In Wittlich, authorities conducted a series of targeted inspections. These included mobile phone usage checks in the city center, speed monitoring on Schloßstraße, and inspections focusing on tuned vehicles on Friedrichstraße.

In the Aurich district, law enforcement dealt with multiple alcohol-related incidents. A 50-year-old driver in Norden was stopped for driving with over 1 per mille blood alcohol content, and a 20-year-old in Krummhörn overturned his vehicle in a ditch while under the influence. Additionally, a garage fire in Großefehn resulted in six-figure Euro damages. In Wittmund, police are investigating a hit-and-run incident on a parking lot in Esens where a vehicle was damaged and the perpetrator fled the scene.
