Police report vehicle ramming and major road safety enforcement in NZ and AU

Police in New Zealand and Australia have reported several significant traffic-related incidents and ongoing enforcement operations. In Whangaparāoa, a 33-year-old man faces multiple charges, including reckless driving and possession of methamphetamine, after allegedly ramming a police patrol car twice and causing moderate injuries to an officer.

In Queensland, Australia, police have intensified road safety efforts through Operation Interpose. In the Wide Bay Burnett District, officers conducted over 60,000 roadside breath tests, detecting 326 drink drivers.
