Police rescue child in Los Angeles and arrest thieves in Argentina

In Los Angeles, a three-year-old girl, Marieny Calderón, was rescued safely following an Amber Alert. The abduction occurred on a Saturday morning when a woman in dark clothing entered a parked Toyota Rav4 and drove away with the child in the backseat while her parents were nearby. The California Highway Patrol deactivated the alert after the child was located safe before 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

In Argentina, police in Maipú arrested three individuals—aged 18, 24, and 28—following a mobile phone theft. A teenager was approached by a woman who requested to borrow a phone for a selfie, only to threaten the victim and escape with accomplices. Police tracked the suspects to a public bus and recovered four mobile phones, including the stolen device.
