Police rescue four teenagers from Cambodian trafficking scam
Police in Ben Cau Commune, Tay Ninh Province, have intervened to prevent four teenagers from being trafficked to Cambodia. The group was lured by a fraudulent job offer on Facebook promising a daily wage of 1.8 million VND.
One of the youths reported that an anonymous account contacted him offering work such as portering or money laundering near the Moc Bai International Border Gate. The group had already rented a room near the border to await transport to Cambodia before they grew suspicious and contacted their families and local authorities.
The four individuals, all minors from Dong Nai Province, were safely returned to their families. Ben Cau Commune Police noted that they have prevented five similar cases of attempted illegal border crossings since the beginning of 2026.
