Police intervene in multiple domestic violence cases in Quatro Pontes, Brazil
In the municipality of Quatro Pontes, the Military Police responded to two separate domestic‑violence incidents on Saturday night. In the first case, a drunken partner threw a chair and stones at his companion, injuring a finger; he fled to his brother’s house and was not located. In the second case, an ex‑husband assaulted his former partner and their two daughters over a dispute about clothing, pressing the woman’s head and arm against a bathroom door before the woman escaped with the children. Both reports were forwarded to the Civil Police for investigation.
Earlier that day a resident of Quatro Pontes filed a defamation complaint after false rumors circulated that he was soliciting money for a funeral; the claim was dismissed as untrue.
In São Pedro do Ivaí, police were called after neighbors heard a loud argument between a couple. The woman, who had previously sought a protective order, left the home without reporting physical aggression.

In Limeira, a 22‑year‑old woman reported sexual assault and threats, identifying a 32‑year‑old man she saw in the hospital as one of the perpetrators. Both individuals were released after police questioning.
