Police respond to sibling weapon threats in Mauá da Serra and Colíder

In Mauá da Serra, a woman was physically assaulted and threatened with a machete by her brother in the Vila Maria neighborhood. The victim’s daughter witnessed the attempt and alerted the Military Police. Although the victim fled the scene to seek help and later returned home safely without apparent physical injuries, the suspect managed to evade police capture.

In a separate incident in Colíder, Mato Grosso, a 48-year-old man was arrested after allegedly invading his 58-year-old sister's residence and threatening her with a shotgun. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a R$ 500.00 debt related to a failed business transaction. Police observed the suspect entering his home with a firearm and subsequently seized a CBC caliber 36 shotgun and five cartridges. The man, who showed signs of intoxication, was taken to the Civil Police Station.
