Police search for driver after fatal hit-and-run in Wolfhagen

Police and prosecutors are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Schützeberger Straße near Wolfhagen, Germany. The incident occurred on Monday, October 26, 2026, around 1:00 a.m. A 54-year-old man from Lohfelden was struck by a vehicle traveling from the direction of Nothfelden toward Wolfhagen. The driver fled the scene immediately following the collision.

A passing motorist discovered the victim on the roadway at approximately 1:15 a.m. and alerted emergency services, but the man could not be saved. Investigators from the Kassel Police and the Kassel Public Prosecutor's Office are specifically looking for a light ivory-colored VW Touran, manufactured between 2016 and 2026, which likely has damage to the front left area.
